Rog and I just returned from five wonderful days at the Hilton Los Cabos and we will go back! This was an adults-only trip, but this resort would be good for a family trip as well. The staff earned an A+ all week long; everyone was so accommodating and super friendly.
The resort was clean; the rooms were spacious (we had a suite). EVERY room has an ocean view, which was fantastic! The resort has two pools which allows you to spread out, find quiet areas, and enjoy the incredible views. The views from the pools are truly just like a postcard. Both pools have bars and restaurants. Don't skip the tacos at the pool right off the "spinner"! Speaking of the tortillas: you can't go wrong with either option, but the flour tortillas are melt-in-your-mouth amazing.
If you bring the kids, there’s a smaller pool that is less crowded. There’s also a kids area with games, staff, and toys for the kids to enjoy. If you need meeting rooms, they have great spaces that wonderfully accommodated our meetings of 500+ people.
We always go to Cancun. I've been to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Playa Del Carmen as well, and I have to tell you: I LOVE Cabo. It was easy to get there: leave Montana at 6 AM and you are eating lunch at the pool in the afternoon! The airport is small and easy to navigate. It was a quick ride to the resort.
We went into town one night and had a GREAT dinner at The Office on the water. There are so many wonderful places from which to choose. We felt very safe all around town. Oh, and make sure you hit the famous Cabo Wabo: you'll be the youngest people in the bar if you are under 55!
The beach area at the resort has a great bar. Dani is the best bartender! The beach area bar has wonderful wait staff. The sand is ROCKY and not the soft sand like in Cancun. The ocean in front of the resort is a little rough for kids. We loved the beach: it had amazing views, a cool breeze, and was so quiet.
I don't give a lot of 5-stars, but we LOVED this resort. Let's give it a 4.5.
